The 2010 One Click season started. We just completed our Season Opening Activity Contest. The winner, Aman Nurullah, played 14 matches in 14 days! Also, we just opened registration for 2010 Spring Masters tournament. Occasional rains don’t seem to stop One Clickers from playing a lot of tennis. I am sure we will have a terrific tennis season. -Z

Our One Click community had another exciting year. Last year we arranged over 10,500 matches played by about 1,500 members. We wish all tennis players a fantastic 2010 and hope that many of them will get their tennis satisfaction through our network. Starting last month, our users can now enter matches they played with their friends into the system. Now it’s time to focus on presentation. We have replaced our aging image based graphs with a new, flash based library. This is just a starting point for making browsing your history and tracking progress a much more pleasant experience.

There is one new feature here, that should make life a bit more competitive (as if it were not as it is…). You can now compare your rating or position in any singles ladder (doubles coming shortly) to that of any other player in the system. Just type in their name into the name box (in the “last, first” format, then sect the person from the auto-complete list) and hit “Update chart”.

You will then see how your rank compares to your friends’ (or foe’s). You can compare any two people registered in the system.
And as always, let us know what you think about the feature and how we can improve your experience with the site.

We’ve finally implemented a feature users have been asking us for a looong time. Now everyone can enter any tennis match they played with their friends and track it using One Click Tennis website. Just log in to your OneClickTennis account and select “Record Past Match” for past matches or “Schedule a Future Match” from “My Matches” box on the dashboard.

Then select match type (either singles or doubles) and enter names of other players you arranged the match with. Finally, specify match time and location and save the match.

Your match then will look like any other match within the system: scores can be reported, ratings will be adjusted, history updated. Please keep in mind though, that this feature assumes you have already agreed to play a match. It is not a “challenge” feature. We are still working on that. So please do not enter matches unless your opponent knows about them.
And one more thing: this feature is totally free, and we don’t ever intend to charge any money for it. So invite all your tennis friends, record your matches and see who really is the best.
